Lehrstuhl für Strömungsmechanik - Chair of Fluid Mechanics

Information for lectures

Dear students, you can find the information for lectures this semester (lecture hall, documents) at:

https://moodle.uni-wuppertal.de

The information on the following pages is merely indicative. The respective examination regulations and notices of the examination office are binding

Teaching in the field of fluid mechanics

The following subjects are offered in PO2024 at the Chair of Fluid Mechanics in the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering:

  • Thermodynamics I &II

  • Fluid Dynamics I & II

From PO2024 onwards, the subjects Thermodynamics I & II and Fluid Mechanics I & II will be offered separately.

Here you can find the equivalence list for the recognition of subjects from PO2017 for PO2024

Here you can find the equivalence list for the recognition of subjects from PO2010 for PO2017

Please note that the "MAP Flow and Thermodynamics" from PO2010 is not recognised for PO2017.

  • Numerical flow calculation
  • Modelling of multiphase flows
  • Numerical calculation of multiphase flows
  • Applied fluid mechanics
  • Flow around bodies and aerodynamics
  • Flow measurement technologyEinführung in High Performance Computing / Introduction to High Performance Computing

Notes:

  • Please note that the lecture Applied Fluid Mechanics requires knowledge of modelling multiphase flows. The lecture Numerical Calculation of Multiphase Flows also requires knowledge of the lecture Numerical Calculation (CFD). It is therefore strongly recommended that you take this into account when planning your personal lecture programme. We are available for consultations during office hours.

The course takes place in the winter semester on Mondays from 16:00 to 18:00 and is offered in English.
