Marleen Arnold
Research Associate
Marleen Arnold's research deals with the experimental study of the airflow in the human upper airways. Flow measurements are carried out on 3D-printed models of the upper airways in order to validate CFD as well as FSI simulations. Background to this research project is the goal to improve the treatment of the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), a breathing disorder which leads to episodes of paused breathing during sleep.
