Varchasvi Nandana has been working on the research project "Study of thermal and magneto-hydrodynamic effects on the aluminium cell under flexible driving” sponsored by the energy program SynErgie. His research topic dealed with the development of a numerical model in OpenFOAM® to describe the magneto-hydrodynamic and thermoelectric phenomena occurring in a typical industrial aluminium cell under varying input power. His other research interests include multiphase flows, shell heat-exchangers and biomedical engineering.
